If at first you don't succeed, try, try 54 more times to contact Travelocity

Easy to complain about the airlines and travel services right?
I bought a hot rate from Travelocity-- one of those deals where you save money, but they don't tell you the hotel until after you've bought. Turns out there was not an airport shuttle, even though it said there was.

So I enlisted FancyHands to chase Travelocity on my behalf.
They called 6 times to be on hold with no answer, tried the fax, the Facebook page, sent emails, and all manner of communication.

3 months later after near daily attempts to contact them, our Fancy Hands assistant finally got a hold of someone. And they offered their standard $25 of the next vacation package you buy.

I did this as an experiment to see how bad the service was. No extra cost to me, since the virtual assistant's job was to try to contact them and keep track of how many phone calls it took.

Do you know of anyone beating this record of 54 messages? I think Travelocity wins the gold!

Facebook Advertising is evolving

The fact that there are spammers on Facebook, whether via self-serve or 3rd party ad networks, is not surprising. It's actually a healthy sign, provided that Facebook is able to mature their platforms to grow into handling brands and small businesses. And from every indication-- publicly and via meetings with their teams, they're well on their way.

The negative comments are reflective of the folks who are currently making money with deceptive offers. Their time is short. Sunlight disinfects.

Marketing your Marketing Company

As the saying goes, "The cobbler's son has no shoes." And so our internet marketing company didn't even have a website until recently. We didn't do any marketing, as our hands were full with existing clients and too many prospective new clients. But now we're expanding our search engine marketing practice to small businesses--- taking enterprise large-scale techniques and applying to local service businesses.

Come to BlitzLocal.com to find out more.
